more or less to the south, croatia, will you take an aircraft or would you rather tour some places of interest (more or less) on the way?

guess it depends on how much it costs - kinda like the idea of croatia but worried about the distance/the cost - wondering about going somewhere that i can drive to from the uk so maybe through france and down to spain or maybe head to germany? not sure.

Only going to be able to get away for a week so Croatia would have to be a flight, thanks for the suggestion though
