right age

HI, there are people here from all over the world so I wanted to get some idea of how attitudes vary from one place to another regarding the right age to begin having sexual relations. I do not mean the age that its legal but what the people here think is right and should be legal.

In my humble opinion, it is the right age, when one has the maturity, education and interest in keeping that education and knowledge, and all the things one is about to enter with that part of life.

Strongbow,, what gave you the idea I had not done anything. What I have or have not done has nothing to do with the question I was asking. I was just trying to see how attitudes varied around the world as to the right age to begin.

well, it is the same answer for a "general question"

as long as you are a responsible person, i see no reason why one should not have sexual relations

most parents do not believe this, but actually as long as you dont give your son/daughter a chastity belt, you can never be sure what he/she does, so i personally believe, that its better for them to decide on their own and act responsibly, than just have intercourse/whatever because they want some kind of "revenge" on you

p.s. but if i have to name a number, i would say >14 for having sex

Age doesnt matter, I say again with utmost conviction, as long as what I said above is the case and situation.

Some people will never be old enough. Just look around your neighborhood. Not only will they never be the 'right age,' they should definitely never have kids.

Well, as I know from my friends, for them the right moment was in the age of 14 to 17. But, the "mainstream" was at 15-16, and I think that is the right age.
Of course it depends on the maturity and the responsibility they can handle...

But bnudes, do you have a special occasion to ask?

I think Haswurst has it about right. Most kids start having some kind of sexual experience at about 13 and probably are not ready for penetrating intercourse until 16+. Safety (HIV prevention, etc) and pregnancy prevention are the biggest concerns once fluids start to flow between two people.

right age is when both parties feel comfortable and are reasonably mature enough to make the decision.... if i had to put an age on it.... 15 i guess.

Very simple question.

And a very simple answer. When both partners are financially able, emotionally prepared, WANT to have, care for, educate, a baby and realize that their sex act could bring a new life into the world....having sex is o.k.!
