International Section (English)

Hello everybody!
The international section is still not used very much, so we all should try to increase posting. By doing so, I think, there soon will be more English-speaking members. :)

But my question is quite different from what I have just said:
This part of the board is called ‘International Section’ and its language is English. But what about allowing French messaging, too? I do not know of course whether there are many French-speaking users, but why not just try and see? :)

We could also allow Spanish or perhaps even Italian messages. The language of a topic should be marked then in the title, of course, for non-Spanish-speaking members would perhaps click on one and then notice that they have just clicked on a link to a topic they do not understand.

However, just tell me what you think about this idea. Maybe, it is nonsense, because nobody would write French messages, for example, but we cannot know yet …

OK that’s all I wanted to say right now.

Remember: it’s just an idea. Please, do not just say ‘no’ without having thought a bit about it before. :)

Oh, I agree absolutely. As I have noticed there were also some trials to translate other parts of the forum (e.g. the introduction into French or Spanish) and I would really be happy if I could help anybody with anything - but the only foreign language I speak is English.

Other question: Is FKK the same word in English?

Yes, some efforts have been made, but I think it is rather embarrassing. Just look at this:

Quoted

1. sexually 2. I want to still investigate it 3. erotic 4. i´m lovin it 5. i will FKK-photos 6. it´s naturally 7. it´s stupidly 8. rather than bath-clothes 9. to be seen and seen

It is not. In English you have to say ‘naturism’ or ‘nudism’, but ‘FKK’ should be understood, too. At least by naturists. :)

french and spanish or italian would not be necessairy to have here.

as most user speak english it is actually enough to have the english section beside the german main-forum.

opening a "séction francaise" for just 2 or 3 users doesn't make sense, as you can see there is just little traffic in the english part.

Yes OK, but this was not the idea. The idea was, as I think, not to restrict the International Section to English, but open it for all languages: English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, whatever...

And to make sure not to mix up the languages, there must be any kind of standardisation for marking, maybe to say every posting should have the language code in it's title. eg:

"en: Who wants to be a nudist?"
"fr: Est-ce qu'il y a beaucoup des naturistes ici?"

This should also mean that you're only allowed to post anything in this particular language.

While it would be ok with me to have it as truely International in language, it would be slightly inconvenient to some people, but, all one has to do is open a translation page window and work a little harder. I wouldnt mind that at all and would do it.

As for FKK, any real naturist from N. America should know what FKK means as it is the root of the lifestyle and the beginning. If they don't then if they are real, they should take the time to learn about it and respect it. My 10 cents!

Love to all from Florida,

How about posting in English in the German section of the forum? I know that it doesn't make much sense, but sometimes my German is not enough to express everything I want in German. Will anybody mind?

I think that will not happen. But you can make translations using Babelfish, leo or google translator also.

I think english is enough.
It´s an international language and so it should be no problem for the french or spanish member to speak english.
And as TrojanBoy sayed before, there exists a lot of homepages that translate everything ;)
