Hopefully one of the native German speakers might be good enough to translate some of this to enable comments from those who do not understand English on here.

I have looked through a small section of this forum & one thing has become pretty obvious. There are some fantastic avatars on here. I don't just mean those who have used a self picture, I mean some of the cartoons & funny ones, such as Pat9916's. Where did you all get these avatars from? Are they all available as part of the basic software package that goes with this particular forum?

If not, then where have you all found your avatars from? I did try to load a pic, but it was far too big & I have no idea how to cut it down in size so if anybody an help me out, I'd be very grateful.

Hi doug!

It should be no problem for the most users to understand your postings.

The avatars are selfmade or taken from picture search machines like google.

The most forums have special conditions for avatars especially the size.
In this forum the avatars maximum sice is 110x110 pixels and maximum filesize 293kb.

You can adjust the size and filesize of any picture with every image editing software. Use JPG or GIF fileformat to save your avatar.

If there are any problems, send me your avatars i will rescale them.

Doug, I got mine from one of the photosharing websites (I can't remember which one though). You have to love Calvin, he had no qualms about going nude.

I have no idea what I'm doing. I've got the pictures, but, try as I may, I can't get them into the right format.

Try downloading IrfanView - very handy program to play with images, rescaling/resizing included...
