Müggelsee - tried but failed...

Hello all, I attempted to have my first FKK experience outdoors in Germany today but for the most part failed.... Headed to Müggelsee, got off at S-Bhf Friedrichshagen and took the tram to Müggelseedamm. Then things started to get confusing. Eventually I walked thru the Spree tunnel, finally found a crowd of people, although mostly clothed. Then walked around a large portion of the lake, over a bridge, and finally back to Müggelseedamm, where I found a half sandy, half grassy lying area with only a couple naked older men and younger children (90% clothed)...

I basically gave up at that point, although I did find a fairly secluded area to take a quick swim without wearing anything, which felt great. But no sandy beach, no crowds of FKKers... What did I do wrong?

Hi jason
how frustrating must have been that. First time you were searching for the place and did not find it. All i know is that you take the Tram 61 from the S-Bahn Station Friedrichshagen and this one takes you directly to the station called Strandbad Müggelsee.
It was 2 years ago when i was there. I heard that the Owner changed and that it is for free now.
I saw some volleyball-field in the fkk section, so if you feel like playing lets meet up there. I also would like to go there again.
Msg me if you still have questions - perhaps i can help you.

My advice is dont try too hard!
The first and only time I went to Müggelersee it was a dull day without sun, last August. My girlfriend still thought I might just go in...as I might have...if feeling spontaneous- except it didnt seem that clean! So sort of the same experience. Try the smaller lakes in the west, they are cleaner!

Hello,

it's such a pity that you couldn't enjoy this lovely beach. In the attached file you find a plan with public transport information, so you can better figure out where it is exactly situated.

In my opinion the quality of the Müggelsee water is quite good. But it's only worth to go there on really sunny and warm enough days. Then you can not only tan and swim there, but also play beachvolleyball and so on.

So please try it another time and have fun!

"Hopefully" because of the age or because of some bad posts (sorry, I didn't check)?

I tried it last year, but that wasn't good experience - not very clean and too crowded ...
